Contemporary landscape photography from Ireland's Atlantic edge
The story behind E I R S C A P E S began with my first visit to Ireland more than two decades ago.
Not long afterwards, I left the country, but the Atlantic coast never really left me. The landscapes I had seen during that short stay, and the constantly changing character of the coastline remained in my memory long after I had gone.
Years later, when I returned to Ireland and eventually made it my home, I found myself drawn back to the Atlantic coast again and again.
This time, however, I began to see it differently. I realised that the Atlantic is never the same place twice. Its mood can change within hours.

Experience of Light
Moments shaped by weather, light and time along Ireland's western edge.

I am interested in places that reveal themselves slowly.
Some images come together quickly. Others are the result of several visits spread across months or even years, waiting for a particular combination of weather, light and atmosphere that cannot be planned or repeated.
