E I R S C A P E S
Landscape photography along Ireland's Atlantic Coast.
Into the Unknown
The story behind E I R S C A P E S began with my first visit to Ireland more than two decades ago.
Not long afterwards, I left the country, but the Atlantic coast never really left me. The landscapes I had seen during that short stay, along with the ever-changing moods of the coastline, remained in my memory long after I had gone.
Years later, when I returned to Ireland and eventually made it my home, I found myself drawn back to the Atlantic coast again and again.
This time, however, I began to see it differently. I realised that the Atlantic is never the same place twice. Its mood can change within hours.

Soft Day
When the weather has other ideas.
Edge
Perhaps the edge is simply where one thing becomes another.
Off the Road
Some places only reveal themselves when the Atlantic lets you in.
Waters
There’s something about waves that draws you in.
A Bit More Time
Some photographs take years to happen.
Worth the Wait
The best moments often arrive after everyone else has gone.

I’m drawn to places I think I know, and yet there’s always something different to discover.
Some images are the result of several visits over months or even years, waiting for the right combination of weather, light, and atmosphere. Something that cannot be planned.
